Driver Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the agreement between Galactic Cars Ltd (“the Company”) and licensed private hire drivers (“the Driver”). By accepting bookings through our dispatch system, the Driver agrees to comply with all company policies and applicable laws.

Drivers operate as self-employed independent contractors. Nothing in this agreement creates an employment relationship, partnership, or agency between the Company and the Driver.

Drivers must hold a valid private hire driver licence, valid insurance, and all required TfL documentation at all times. It is the Driver’s responsibility to ensure that all licences and documents remain valid and up to date.

Drivers agree to pay the agreed commission per completed job or the agreed percentage commission. Commission must be paid promptly as instructed by the Company. Failure to pay commission may result in suspension from the dispatch system.

Drivers must accept bookings responsibly and complete them professionally. Bookings must not be cancelled without a valid reason. Repeated or unjustified cancellations may result in warnings, suspension, or termination of access to the dispatch system.

All bookings dispatched by the Company must be processed through the Company system. Allowing passengers to pay cash directly without company record is strictly prohibited. Any breach of this rule may result in immediate termination.

Drivers must behave professionally, courteously, and respectfully at all times. Any form of misconduct, discrimination, harassment, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated. Drivers must comply fully with TfL regulations and road traffic laws.

Passenger details are strictly confidential. Drivers must comply with UK data protection laws and must not store, misuse, disclose, or share passenger information for personal use or marketing purposes.

Vehicles must be clean inside and outside, mechanically safe, and well maintained. Vehicles must meet all TfL licensing requirements at all times. Smoking in the vehicle is strictly prohibited.

Drivers must use the Company’s dispatch system properly and responsibly. Access to the system is provided solely for accepting and completing Company bookings. Misuse of the system may result in suspension.

Galactic Cars Ltd reserves the right to suspend a Driver’s access to the dispatch system if licensing or insurance becomes invalid, commission remains unpaid, company policies are breached, TfL regulations are violated, or misconduct occurs.

The Company may terminate a Driver’s access immediately in cases of serious breach, fraud, misconduct, or repeated policy violations. Upon termination, the Driver must cease using the Company’s dispatch system immediately.
